This is a question Customers from Hell

The customer is always right. And yet, as 'listentomyopinion' writes, this is utter bollocks.

Tell us of the customers who were wrong, wrong, wrong but you still had to smile at (if only to take their money.)

If you think shop work is bad, try teaching chav kids...
Teaching is horrible, the kids are foul mouthed cretins and the parents should have a license before they are allowed to breed. I really hate the general public and their fucked up spawn. Sorry B3ta folk, I know that this does not include you.

I have just resigned from working in an inner city school, full of rude, arrogant, stinking, revolting psychopaths. I even had one parent phone the school complaining that people "like that" (I am transsexual) are not safe and should not be allowed to work with children.

When I see the state of modern humanity, with their chav violence and nasty ideas, I am glad that Oil is running out and global warming is coming, maybe the bastards will suffer as much as I did teaching their scum children.

I am still bitter and I hate them. Bollocks to the meek inheriting the earth, I hope it is the chavs and the earth is a scorched cinder.

Oh, I am qualified to teach "outdoor and environmental education" to the 14 to 19 age group, in case you were interested.

dont shoot me or anything
but when I was a kid, if there was teacher wearing trousers that were 2 inches too short, or funny glasses, or maybe a dodgy jacket, we would tear them to pieces - verbally of course. I cannot fathom what would have happened if Miss turned out to be Mister (or vice versa). Is it just a tiny little bit possible that you might have expected a teeny little bit of grief from inner city kids? Inner city or not, you know that kids are merciless.

I know that doesn't justify anything of course, and if you were teaching in an adult college or something, i think you'd have a slightly better argument.

In your case, they do sound like scum. I think if you'd worked at my school, the parents would probably have been a little bit pleased that you were there, in that middle class "I have a lot of *insert minority* type friends you know" way. The kids would have torn you a new one though. (No pun intended).

i'd rather have my kids taught by a transsexual
than the majority of psychotic wankers who taught at my school.

if i had any kids.

What coke said
Kids are absolute cunts. I was bullied mercilessly and they handed out the same treatment to any teachers that were anything slightly out of the ordinary. When people are that age there's a real gang mentality and complete nastiness that goes (or gets hidden anyways) when you hit your 20s.

Hope your fairing better now pickle x

Oh I quite expected a bit of grief from the kids,
But it was not the young ones who caused me problems. It was the Final year kids and the sixth form students who abused me and eventually physically attacked me.

As for tearing me a new one, a few months after surgery I returned to work, fragile and delicate. I had a kid run into me and hit me in the groin with his hard edged school bag. Cue me collapsing to the floor in agony. Did the kid say sorry? Er... no.

Looking back it is starting to feel funny now I am out of there. A TS teacher in a rough inner city school... Damn talk about getting your self into trouble!

A friend of mine
gave up a 15 year IT career to move into teaching. I huge jump for her after feeling unfulfilled for a very long time. She did her PGCE and worked in schools etc for a year or 2. She got a proper job and on her first day she walked in to class. The first thing that happened was they noticed her red hair. One lad shouted "oi miss! Catch this yer ginger cunt!" and threw a hardbacked book at her, ultimately blinding her in one eye. She hasnt worked for about a year now and has taken it -as you'd expect - quite badly. The kid got chucked out etc and her life is not ruined, but damaged.

And thats in a 'nice' school.

However, I know better that this is not the norm folks. My parents are both senior 'educationalists' and the stories (like mine) can be sensationalist. There are plenty of good kids, and good schools. Its not all bad in the real world. It never is.
