This is a question Dad stories

"Do anything good for your birthday?" one of your friendly B3TA moderator team asked in one of those father/son phone calls that last two minutes. "Yep," he said, "Your mum." Tell us about dads, lack of dad and being a dad.

To clarify:

1) Tried to keep length to minimum

2) I was still on a weekly contract, rather than a salary, giving him the right to fire me with no notice - he thought it kind to give me a 'week'. This is a standard practice for employers with employees on week-contracts.

3) To explain, my usual job involved processing orders. He asked me ontop of that to look after the pricing portal that was used to give potential customers an idea of how much they'd pay to get a circuit installed. He spent the Thursday afternoon watching me from behind his partition making changes to this portal and doing general admin on it. On the Friday, he fired me because I didn't process any orders on the Thursday afternoon. Like I said, this guy was an arsehole and at the end of the day, he could have made any reason up to fire me, and being on a week-contract my rights didn't really come into it.

4) Just try and take something like that to a tribunal - it'll go no where, not with that kind of outside contracting.

You can believe the truth, or, you can sit and troll. That's up to you - there's no point accusing people of lying so aggresively just because you have questions.

Besides, if I were lying, the story would have involved something along the lines of: "YEAH SO MY DICKHEAD BOSS TOTALLY FIRED ME FOR DOING MASSIVE DRUGS AT WORK, SO WHEN HE WAS OUT OF THE OFFICE I FUCKED HIS WIFE ON HIS DESK WHILST HIS KIDS WATCHED LOLOLOLOL"

You can chose to believe it and get the point of the story, that my Dad did something very nice, or, you can live under a bridge. Either way, I'm happy in my new position! :)

So you weren't really "fired" at all
Your temp contract was determined by your employer. What a disappointment.
I like that Matt guy, I think he should have binned your old man off for being a gobby shite with the swares.

A) My temp contract was ceased by my employer with no advanced notice. Ala firing.

B) Matt didn't work in the same department as my Dad and had no say as to whether my Dad was fired or not.

Seriously have you nothing better to do?

You stupid cunt, no wonder Matt hates you
You were given notice, by your own admission you were told to fuck off after the week : "This is a standard practice for employers with employees on week-contracts" That isn't being fired, it's called having your temp contract determined by your employer with the provision of one weeks notice. Your employment ended.
Hopefully you've now grasped this point. Why not go and explain it to your old man now, as his grasp on employment law is just as crippled as yours. Also remind him that attempting to attack and issuing verbal insults to management should have resulted in disciplinary proceedings for gross misconduct. Looks like my mate Matt went easy on him.

I think you need to have a little sit down and a cup of tea

Not his management. Try reading.

And wow, who pissed in your cup of tea?

Oh, so it's all right to threaten to attack and verbally abuse a member of the management team
as long as it's not your own immediate management. You long streak of piss, why have you posted this shit onto a messageboard?
