I was 18/19 years old, full of low self esteem and hippy ideals,
There was this guy who was fucking gorgeous who made it quite plain he wanted to go out with me, but because he was joining the army I told him I couldn't date a soldier. I think part of it was I just couldn't believe he wanted to go out with me.

I still kick myself now 25 years later.

That's so weird...
...because around that period of time ago (it's not you, I know) I had the absolute hots for a girl who had a thing for long flowing hippy skirts and the like - and I told her that we wouldn't work out as I was joining the Army etc etc. I still think about her all the time.

I guess this is my entry to the 'What was I thinking' QOTW.
