This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

My 18th Birthday

Walking proudly up to the bouncer of my local discotheque safe in the knowledge that he couldn't turn me away from the delights within as I had ID!

He didn't fucking ID me! All my pre-prepared witty come backs wasted, I would never see the big apes face crease up in dissapointment as it dawned on him that his powers were useless against my little pink drivers license.

I suffer this still
If I don't take ID with me, I'll get asked for ID everywhere I go.

So, I go out, armed with ID, keen on proving myself to all who dare question me... and nobody does.

Bouncers who, just last week, were convinced I was a trouble-making youngster now dare not question me. And I know, next week, I'll forget my ID, and they'll ask me again.

How do they know?

This.
I walked into town to meet some friends once, 25 minutes there. Got there and realised I didn't have my ID. Got ID'd and realised that I'd have to go home and get it, else I wouldn't get in anywhere.
Walked home, walked back into town - 90 minutes after I first left my house, I got back into town - my mates were now at a new pub. Went to go in, didn't get ID'd.
THRUSTED my ID in his face, explained what I'd been through and said "Please, do me a favour... just look at it? Thank you"

Was a good night in the end though!

body language
carry your ID, but look and act a bit nervous and out of place. The bouncers will then be sure you're underage, and ask for ID.

... but next they'll decide your ID is fake or "borrowed", and so steal it and beat you up. Result!

not as bad as my friends 18th...
...they wouldn't let him in to drink becuase they were "operating on the previous days date" or something like that.

Despite much protest from him and myself which just resulted in us getting chucked out as well, he still wasn't allowed to drink.

I was I.D.ed on my 18th
I timed it just right so that I was five minutes in. Result!
