My Biggest Disappointment
Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."
Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.
What's disappointed you lot?

the Olympic games...
is (will be) a celebration of international athletic achievement. Which is why the BBC (or ITV, whatever) will fill their coverage with inteviews with British athletes, tedious background pieces featuring British presenters, replays of British athletes doing moderately well, and commentators talking to camera.
I just want to see running/ jumping/ swimming etc.
I am deeply disappointed -- I would much prefer to have seen a Brazilian archer make 5th place than 90% of the worthless "British audience" filler they show.
Note: I apologise for the causality leak.

I couldn't agree more
Not that I'm into the Olympics as such, but they do it every grand prix weekend with Lewis Hamilton too.
"So after Heikki Kovalainen's horror crash last week, Lewis told us how he felt driving past the scene of the accident"
Yes, they really did do this O_o

I agree with Prof KM
For all that Lewis Hamilton is the best hope British F1 racing has had for a long time, he's not actually doing that well this season. But he's all the media can talk about.
I like Lewis - he seems like a decent sort of lad - but I don't want to hear about it every time he goes for a pee. I'd rather see how the rest of the drivers are doing too.
