Just remembered another one...Looking through some old photos, I mentioned to my Mum that I had 2 remarkably similar pairs of trouser when I was an anklebiter: both were navy blue, with white and orange stripes. One pair though had vertical stripes and the other pair had horizontal stripes.
"Oh no" replied my Mum, "That was one pair of trousers! One leg was vertical and one horizontal!"
Laughing at my horrified face, she continued "They were horrible! But you loved them! I could never get you to wear anything else!"
So there you have it - my love of ...err, odd clothing started when I was very small.
