Dodgy work ethics
Chthonic asks: What's the naughtiest thing a boss has ever asked you to do? And did you do it? Or perhaps you are the boss and would like to confess.

I used to work for a large UK bank...
based on Lombard Street in London that had the letters T, S and B in its name.
My line manager told me to try not to allow any Nigerians to open bank accounts as 'they were all dodgy'. If by some miracle one of them did get an account, their Visa card/loan application would be mysteriously turned down.
Nothing like racial stereotyping, is there....
and this was in 1989 before teh internets and 'you have been awarded $200 million dollars if you just let me have your account details'

wasn't the late 80s
when the Nigerian banking scams started (or at least started going international)? Sure your boss still sounds racist, but those scams pre-date free e-mail

Paper
I received a paper one in the post last week, notifying me that my long-lost relative, a Chinese man called Henry, had died intestate and that the government wanted to steal the money but, with the help of a surprisingly corruptible Chinese official, that I could split the estimated $40,000,000 estate with him.
How did I manage to forget rich old Uncle Henry?

Which bank?
Surely not the ... royal bANK OF sCOtLAND?
I can't highlight the T, S and B any other way. Feck.
Edit: I know they're based in Edinburgh.

Methinks
that the highlighted TS & B might actually have been referring to the TSB (Trustees Savings Bank), latterly the TSB part of Lloyds TSB....
Maybe - just maybe...

Indeed.
A rational conclusion. Methinks that was my extremely poor attempt at a joke.
