This is a question Driven to Madness

Captain Placid asks: What annoying things do significant others, workmates and other people in general do that drive you up the wall? Do you want to kill your other half over their obsessive fridge magnet collection? Driven to distraction over your manager's continued use of Comic Sans (The Font of Champions)? Tell us.

For all the casual anti-Americanism in Britain
I far prefer their "Have a nice day!" plastic smile customer service than our bloody disinterested cashiers that simply hold out their hand and gaze into the middle distance, saying "£4.69 please" in a bored monotone.

I prefer Canada
Same approach to service but they sound like they actually care (they may not care, but they sound like they do!)

Actually , except for Bell Canada, Bell Canada can shove their laughingly monikered 'support line' up their tradesmen's entrance. They sound as though they are enjoying toying with you.

They don't care, especially Bell.

Agreed.
Some, if not most, actually take pride in their job regardless of what it is. Even the lowly pot-washers will smile and actually go out of their way to help you.
In my experience that is.

When they look really disinterested,
always wear a long coat and inside of it, flop your cock into your hand, all hidden. Then when they put their hand out waiting for payment, flop your cock into their awaiting palm. Tell them to keep the change and walk off. Cant guarantee you wont be arrested but I'm sure that would be amusing for both yourself, and the rest of the category C wingers....

I worked in the West End for a while
and dealt with people from all over the world.

Britons are the world heavyweight champions of wanker, and get the customer service they deserve

Hahahahahahahaha
Awesome.

Yeah, but one minute it's 'have a nice day' and the next it's shooting everyone in their workplace cos the wife's cheating on them.
I prefer indifference to being shot.

"Disinterested" means "impartial"
"Uninterested" means "indifferent"
