A few years ago, to avoid the humiliation and poverty of being dole I took a job reworking faulty barbecues.The wages were poor, but the room was well-lit and comfortable to work in, there was no contact with the general public (therefore no abusive idiots), and the lass in the office would often come downstairs, give us a hand and have a good yack if she didn't have much to do. I can think of much worse ways to earn a full-time wage.
