I was an extra for the film Goal...
...in "crowd scenes"
Got paid £100 to follow instructions such as "look left!" "oooh he's just missed" etc. etc.
Would have got it over and done with in about 2 hours bur Anna Friel kept fluffing up her damn lines!

Being a film extra is easy money
I was once an extra in a Ken Loach film.
Taxi to location, primped and clothed as a lady of the night and then left to wander around aimlessly untiil I was needed before everything then stopped for a food break.
Get fed, then wander around again, having a cig or two while watching the main event.
Spend some time teaching the big hulking non english speaking french lead actor how to say & pronounce english swear words in spare moments between his scenes.
Get told off for doing so by someone, then sent off to do what I'm paid for and be a background artiste.
Find myself asked to do a bit part speaking scene ( that was cut from the released film)
More hanging around, fed again, then another lift home
Paid a lot of money to faff around for most of a day and see myself on screen for a millisecond :)

I was an extra
...but I got cut from the film. Which I didn't know until I'd bought it! Damn!
Oh, and Anna Friel: yes. Oh yes. I'll even forgive her for "Pushing Daisies"

Anna Friel
As who was in a relationship with Madonna for a while "Anna Friel! I've just come home!"
