Who for? I did it for a couple of seasons and I must say it's one of the hardest jobs I've ever done. Certainly it was enjoyable - being paid to ride your bike all day is great - but long hours, the risks, all weathers and less than wonderful pay make it pretty much low-paid manual labour.

I still loved it though...

I think this might be some sort of elaborate ruse
so that Vagabond can slag off cyclists some more, for not subsidising car drivers, and for being allowed a big green box at the front of the traffic lights. But I would be happy to be corrected.

About it's being an elaborate ruse you are right - if rather flattering in your description -
but it is more a mocking of my own expression of rather forthright views on cyclists that I was trying to convey.

one of them (considered "the best" at his company) does his job on coke and acid
