Chthonic says he's still reeling from a trip to a wedding that cost him nearly £600; while a friend of ours hazily presented his credit card to the bar staff in a shady club in the Baltic states. You know how that one ended.

All of us would do that, given the opportunity. Granted the risks involved are high, but the payoff was even bigger. I'd say congratulations on scamming the credit card companies back for a change.

I think the refund liability on this would get bounced back to the business that didn't check the signature properly (or at all). I've seen a few odd ones before but no worse than transposed his and hers signatures on joint cards, apparently the first detection of that mistake in years with the last one I spotted.
