This is a question Expensive Weekends

Chthonic says he's still reeling from a trip to a wedding that cost him nearly £600; while a friend of ours hazily presented his credit card to the bar staff in a shady club in the Baltic states. You know how that one ended.

I'm in the vintage sports car club
and it was the clubs 75th anniversary event last year - a week of camping, drinking real ale and fettling old (1920's and 30's) cars. most of us drive granny's Austin 7 (think of brum) or something similar.
Nick Mason of pink floyd fame thought it was time his teenage sons inherited his interest in vintage cars and duly packed them off to this event. Not only did they turn up in the worlds biggest winnebago with their own mechanic for the week, he had bought them a Bugatti Brescia EACH to play with! So, a week of camping for about £250,000...they live in another world!
I still beat both of them at the autotest in my austin ulster and I am a girl, Ha!

Money...
sorry don't know the rest of the lyrics but I'm sure if I did I'd be pointing out the hypocrisy or something.

I'm crap at autotests, I always end up arsing around doing skids because I can never remember the route after the first couple of cones.

I guess we can be thankful for the rock stars and millionaires of the world that are buying nice cars and actually using them as they were intended to be used. Still doesn't stop us being jealous though!
