Just as well it was unloadedI'd have thought that trying to kill an adult chimp with a .22 rifle would be an almost equally risky proposition for the curator as for the chimp.

I think it was a tranquilizer gun - but to be honest it could have one of the guns from the pirates cove shoot out game
