You'll get over itPoor Cory Doctorow. It's a common complaint to be thrown off by him, and I remember when I started to care about who posted what on BoingBoing. It was only because I didn't like his posts, but loved all the others.
For many folks the thing is that he comes across as self-aggrandizing, but then you get over it when you realize, wait, he REALLY IS fucking awesome! Ok, so legitimately disagree with him on copyfight issues, but even still - you'll really learn to love him.
