This is a question Family Feuds

Pooster tells us that a relative was once sent to the shops to buy an onion, while the rest of the family went on a daytrip while he was gone. Meanwhile, whole sections of our extended kin still haven't got over a wedding brawl fifteen years ago – tell us about families at war.

My son
won't speak to me and ignores me most of the time. Not last night though, oh no, after drinking his fill he decided that he would give me his full attention. After waking me (and the neighbors) up and roaring for a few minutes, he proceeds to headbutt me, punch me and gouge my right eye. Then he pukes all over me ,shits his pants and laughs in my face.

Looking forward to our first Christmas though.

I sympathise...
After a slamming a bottle down as fast as he could yesterday, mine was almost passed out, then while I was trying to help him to bed he pissed all over me while smiling. This is all going to come up again at his 21st birthday though...

True, true.
They all go through the "difficult years" and by "difficult years" I mean the first twenty years after they're born.

After that they leave home and are some other poor sod's problem.

Oh yeah..
In a triumph of hope over adversity, we have two children. Both great, both tons of fun, second birthday is even better, third is better still...

Just remember to keep taking those pictures, they're valuable blackmail/teenager control fodder.

My son loves speaking to me,
unfortunately he mostly does it in the early hours of the morning when I'm trying to sleep instead of listening to his chuckles and gurgles.

my wee boy has lately started babbling at us in the wee hours - very cute, but it'd be much cuter in daylight...

That was brilliant.

...but you wouldn't change it for the world :-)

all the same
What is it with the headbutting...enough to make your eyes water and they just laugh, fall over and not even hurt themselves...more tears than if you'd killed their favourite toy.

Sounds like it will be a great Christmas
