The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the Eighth Dimension
It's just the most irreverent, intelligent film ever to come out of the mainstream Hollywood blockbuster conveyor belt. No one really seems to understand just how important it is as a film, and how it takes conventional superhero narrative and utterly turns it on its head. It's the kind of film that could never, ever get made again, and I love it. And it's just utterly bonkers.

haha
me and my mates saw this while hammered. We had never heard of it before but were awestruck.
Spent the whole evening like
'oh wow its john lithgowe'
then
'oh my god its jeff goldblum'
then
'holy fuck did he just drive through a cliff?'
then
'jesus christ rasta space aliens'
then
'fuck me, jeff goldblum in furry chaps'
then finaly the best end credits sequence and hero walk ever.

Another great film
I shamelessly steal bits from. I have been known to tell clueless people who can't figure out why their phone or whatever isn't working that it looks like the oscillation overthruster is broken.
Also I have been known to sign my name as John Smallberries before.

"Home...
Is where you wear your hat."
Lithgow rocks.
I always wanted to be a rocket car test driver/rock star/comic book hero/scientist.
