Black and white special
Saw this film as a child, and always remembered it as a classic, "The Hell Drivers"
with William Hartnell, Patrick McGoohan, and even I think Sid James in a serious role.
A gritty enthraling black and white sunday afternoon movie !!

Is that the one...
about freelance truck drivers, that ends up with two of them fighting a lorry-based duel and the villain going over a cliff?
If so, that was filmed just down the road from where I grew up - in fact a lot of cars, trucks, tanks and stuntmen were flung down that chalk-pit in the name of film in the 1960s... I think it had something to do with Rank Organisation headquarters being about two minutes away at the time. That, and Kenley Aerodrome, which was used for many a spitfire-based film and also when they wanted to blow shit up. For a tin-pot little town, it had a lot going on. It's now the headquarters of Anne Summers - how times change!
