Fire!We were all in my aunt's kitchen at the back of her huge rambling Victorian house. I was only small and had wandered off to go to the loo, but given up after finding the hall full of smoke. "That was quick," my mum said after a few minutes. "Yes - it's all smoky," I replied.
I've never seen adults move so fast.
So, like my cousin who'd managed to set fire to the roof, tell us your fire stories.

and earlier this yearI saw some kids setting fire to a bush outside their school at the back of my house. Called 999 for the first time in my life. Told the woman it didn't seem to be that much of an emergency as it was only a bush on fire. The Fire Engine was there in about 60 seconds (something to do with the fact the Fire Station is just round the corner). The young scallywags ran off. The fireman looked disgusted at the pathetic size of the fire and simply kicked it out. Thankfully, I didn't leave a name or address with the 999 operator, so they couldn't tell it was me that was being a girly weak man.
