Fire!We were all in my aunt's kitchen at the back of her huge rambling Victorian house. I was only small and had wandered off to go to the loo, but given up after finding the hall full of smoke. "That was quick," my mum said after a few minutes. "Yes - it's all smoky," I replied.
I've never seen adults move so fast.
So, like my cousin who'd managed to set fire to the roof, tell us your fire stories.

Master of PuppetsWhen I was about 7 or 8 we had a little shadow-puppet theatre thing at school (a box with some bits cut off and tracing papaer put on the front, with a lamp inside), with big signs on it saying "Remmeber to turn off the light!".
I didn't.
It was great though 'cos we didn't have to do any work all afternoon, and the fire engine came into the playground, and we put the siren on. That's when I first considered arson as a career.
