This is a question First World Problems

Onemunki says: We live in a world of genuine tragedy, starvation and terror. So, after hearing stories of cruise line passengers complaining at the air conditioning breaking down, what stories of sheer single-minded self-pity get your goat?

Where to start...
People who think it's a `natural need` to go on holiday, eat at restaurants, have a car and all that.

The worryingly high number of people that believe `reality` shows, for fucks sake of course it didn't happen like that.

On-Demand services, the ability to catch up on something that was kind of rubbish in the first place, is repeated loads and there are +1's and VHS and all that, Hard Disk recorders.

I can afford to go on holiday, eat in restaurants and have a car and all that, they're all rather good things.
People are idiots, generally, get over it.
I, and I'm sure a great many people, don't bother sitting down infront of the TV at a certain time each week to watch a favorite programme as we're too busy eating out, away on holiday or just driving our fancy sports cars around, so recording TV or watching things "on demand" is a great option.
I imagine you're the kind of person who thinks that we should all live in a field bumming each other.

I think OP
was making a small point about consumerism and you kinda reinforced his point.

But that's ok, because I occasionally go on holidays, eat at restaurants and watch tv.
That might be because I work & have a job which pays me money regularly based upon the hours I work.

Sounded like he's just bitter that he has no money.

You sound fun.

So TV is so special people ought to live their lives around its schedule?
That's the only reason I can think of to think on demand and HD recorders are a problem.
