One thing I don't really get.....
the "poms" tell us we're all criminals because of the convict thing (I get that). But if what I'm told is correct over there you can't even carry stuff in the back of your ute, 'cause someone will nick it while you're stopped at the lights, and we're the crims?

More to the point
The first non-aboriginal Aussies were in fact English prisoners sent to build a colony as slave labour. Sent because their prisons were full to overflowing and their judicial system was fucked.
Sometimes I think many English people who pull out the old "Australia was a land populated by criminals" card forget where those crims came from originally and why.

EDIT: Imagine what a V8 Falcon 1 tonner would cost you for the congestion tax in London anyway.
