First World Problems
Onemunki says: We live in a world of genuine tragedy, starvation and terror. So, after hearing stories of cruise line passengers complaining at the air conditioning breaking down, what stories of sheer single-minded self-pity get your goat?

Not as annoying as stop/start engines and fucking hill assist.
If I wanted my engine to cut out every time I got to the lights or paused in traffic I'd turn the key (or hell I might even deliberately stall it if I was feeling like a twat). When on a hill I generally find it quite simple to use a spare hand to gently press a button and release a handbrake, they're often conveniently placed right where this hand can find them (almost by design one might imagine). It is not a system that baffles me nor do I find it taxing. Having to work out the curious order in which to press buttons and flashing lights just so that I can move forward has not eased my life.
Vorsprung durch technic ? Backwards if you ask me.

I quite like
it when you're actually driving. Not that I can;t do a hill start with a handbrake, it's just easier.
It pisses me off that you have to have your foot on the brake to manually disengage it though. It surprises me how often that is inconvenient.
My car also has the added irritation of needing the clutch pressed down to start. That's a pointless bit of nannying, and also an inconvenience.

Funnily enough that doesn't annoy me at all
Although it is nannying and it does occasionally confuse me when I am in a hurry. Even the big sign flashing at me to push the clutch isn't obvious enough sometimes!

It might just be that I live in a street
with only on street parking, and every now and then I have to shunt the car backward or forwards a few feet to make a space for my motorbike.
I'd normally just half get in the car, start it and move using tickover. Don't need two feet in the car.
It's just more farting about. I'm being fussy.
