There's probably some obscure point of etiquette where you have to eat the fish with the knife jammed up your nostrilor something equally ludicrous.

It's not so much what it can do.The fish knife is blunt and used to seperate flakes of fish. Apparently it is also used to add sauce to the fish and I suppose its larger blade makes this easier.
