But in all seriousness, why do all these people, who only yesterday had the biggest problem of getting enough money for the latest computer game or night out with their mates, now care massively about African politics and then assume that putting up posters and spamming Facebook is going to make a difference in a country thousands of miles away!?

As said further down this page, they seem to think that they could stop the likes of Hitler, Kim Jon Ill, Mussulini etc. by fly postering their local town and telling all their mates about the nasty man in Germany/North Korea/Italy

Raising awareness is pointless.
Everyone knew who Hitler was but it was a war that stopped him, not public opinion.
Also, see my posts about Invisible Children funding an army which has been known to rape and pillage.
Oh, and apparently the US military is aware of this guy and he's on their hit list. They may seem to take forever to get people but no amount of social media spamming will make them get him any faster.

It's not the raising awareness that bothers me too much
Its the fact that these people who I have as "friends" all of a sudden give a massive shit about a tyrant that no one had really head of before and get all arsey and aggressive when you say anything slightly negative about this whole pointless fly postering thing they want to do, but probably won't cos they'll watch tv, stay in bed, have something else to do.
