the song "crestfallen" by the smashing pumpkinsalways reminds me of those carefree autumn days of 2003, when I had been spending month after month completely infatuated with a girl who was a year older than me. i still had the "nice guy" syndrome and was perpetually shy so i couldn't bring myself to say anything, until i got the old "you're too nice to date" speech.
