This is a question Walkman Flashbacks

There you are innocently going about your day when suddenly a particular song transports you back to a specific time and place.

For me, Animotion's Obssession instantly brings back the fear and nerves of school exams. And you? Tell us all about it.

My contributions:
"Closing Time" by Semisonic - reminds me of my year as an AFS exchange student in Hong Kong, particularly one fine day when I was doing a bit of wandering around Kowloon, walking down Nathan Road and checking out some cool cheap bookstores.

"How Bizarre" by OMC - takes me straight back to that year again, sitting in a pub with a dozen or so mates from all around the globe - from the US to Turkey, Finland to Australia - four sheets to the wind and all of us singing along loudly to the song, with me thinking "How the fuck do this lot know a song from New Zealand for fuck's sake?"

"Tennessee Waltz" by fuck knows who - getting shot down cold by the girl I was crushing on hardcore back at the school formal when I was 11. She was this cute little shy, blonde, librarian type. The next year she moved away. Bumped into her at a friend's party about 6 years later, and she'd turned into some white-trash, hair-dyed-black, fucking dirty slut.

"PIMP" by 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg - Me and my boys getting stoned as hell and drunk as sailors when visiting one of the guys a few hours south of where the rest of us lived. Particularly the resident mad-bastard drunk who climbed into the taxi and tried to ask the Samoan taxi driver "Hmmm, are you a M.O.T.H.E.R.F.U.C.K.I.N.G.P.I.M.P. or whaaaaaaaaaaat?" (And yes, he did spell it all out letter for letter. And no, he didn't spell it right. In the least.)

I'd apologize for length but you all loved every inch of it.
