This is a question Stuff I've found

Freddy Woo writes, "My non-prostitute-killing, lorry driving uncle once came home with a wedding cake. Found it in a layby, scoffed the lot over several weeks."

What's the best thing you've found?

When I was a nipper
I used to hide my pocket money in obscure places instead of spending it, purely for the pleasure of coming across it unexpectedly one day and getting that "woo! I just found teh money!" thrill.

A bit weird, I know. I'm sure I didn't find it all before I got old and moved out, and some bastard now has loads of my pocket money. I hope he does the same, kind of a like a nice never-ending finders-keepers wheel of fortune. Thingy.

Oh man, I do the same thing!
Picture frames, boxes, under the bed, winter coats while it's still summer--any place where you're not gonna find it for a while and won't remember to look for it. Total thrill. (You should try spending an hour or three sending away for free samples online; it's SO fun when you start getting all your free 'presents' in the mail!)

I do it too
Normally when pissed. I quite often slip a tenner into a shirt pocket in my wardrobe or something, knowing that next time I wear that shirt I will have forgotten about it and will then find I've got an extra tenner.

I once found £50 in a pair of trousers I barely ever wore - I must have been feeling generous.

Sweet Jesusbuns...
I used to do this as a kid. I remember I once found a fiver in our downstairs curtains (I have no idea how it managed to stay there for whats likely over a year).
I now sustain my thrills of finding money by getting horrifically drunk come weekend time and then rummaging through my pockets monday. It's almost like the lottery, but instead of the majesty of winning more money, I have the quiet dignity of seeing how much of a stingy bastard i've been saturday night.
