What mictoboy said ^I was going to say virtually the same thing, but I thought that the reasoning behind the original post smacked a bit too much of the 'get a job' ignorance, so I didn't waste the effort.
Having been 'on the dole' (which, I might add, is a term only used by those who have had no experience of the system) myself, I can tell you it's absolutely horrible. I would much rather work a 60-hour week, underpaid and overworked, than be back on Jobseekers' Allowance.
