This is a question Getting Old

Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

Never forget you're not as young as you think you are.
Just returned from Download festival today. The Prodigy were playing on Friday and in a fit of you only live once mood I managed to wrangle my way to the front by playing the, I am old and I may never live long enough to see them again card. Having got there and chatted to the youngsters around me, they band appeared on stage and it was bloody fantastic. I managed to get through one song whilst being pushed and shoved about before I had to leave and dance at the outer edges of the crowd.

I'm that old that I remember when Kerrang! decided to like The Prodigy
And the idiots at that particular rag hilariously referred to them as techno.

Stick to what you know and all that, what what?

Theyre not techno? I went to a metal club here in the city, and they started playing the prodigy. I shouted at the dj to turn off that electronic crap, all he said was "they played at download mate". That was me told. I left shortly after, never to return.

not techno.
Early stuff was rave, then probably Nu skool breaks. Techno has four to the floor kickdrums, the prodigy use breakbeats.

Techno isn't a catch all term for electronic music.

Good for you!
Sometimes you have to barge your way to the front just to remind yourself what a violent shoving hassle it all is.

As a good friend once lamented; "it's always so crammed for space, I really struggle to get my dick out".

you posted this at 9:30 on Sunday?
Did you also take the 'older and wiser' decision to leave before the traffic got too bad? :)

Shame.
Ozzy played an absolute blinder. It was almost as if he had never sobered up.
