This is a question Getting Old

Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

Smokables
Bongs are so less sociable that a joint these days. Hanging in the laundry at parties was wikked, but I now prefer a great bottle of red and a slow doobie shared amongst friends, preferably round a back yard fire.

True

what makes me feel old is that I hadn't heard the word doobie used to describe a spliff since the 90's

Spliff - ha! What hipster speak I hear before me?
These new-fangled words are funny.

Very true.
Bongs were for a younger, more lung-tastic me.
I also find myself paying more for a tastier batch*, and couldn't smoke block (Kek) anymore if I wanted to.
A night in with my mates, a load of trojan records, and some captain Beefheart, a FAT fire, washed down with some tasty doobs is all I ask of a weekend.
Town and/or Pubs are rare these days, too.

*A younger me had a favoured type of weed, and it was 'lots', rather than 'nice'.

I once was the president of the mullers and packers; gifted with a third lung.
But, like you, find a languid weekend of music and choice doob the more enjoyable option. May your summer be filled with such awesomeness.
