It's true
Mormons do keep track of who needs another visit and, more specifically, who doesn't. I visited Salt Lake City some years ago and dropped in at the Mormon temple to have a look round. I don't remember how but they got my address for something or other and a few months later back at home I got a visitation.
But I put paid to that - I not only moved house but moved country as well, and they didn't find me again for years. But find me they did, this time when I was living in a predominantly catholic country. I explained that I was protestant. The mormons looked at each other, then told me "well that's close enough for us" and they walked off to convert catholics. I have never been visited again. Indeed I've seen them in the street, and they just walk right past my house now.
