Make 'em good...... and make 'em funny. Make those memories so they will last and put a smile on his face when he's a doddery old nonagenarian.
If he hasn't got a lot of his own memories left, he deserves a few good ones. Whether they're true or not isn't, in the wider scheme of things, important.
