This is a question Guilty Pleasures, part 2

It's been a while since we last asked this question and CaptainFellatioNelson's confession that he likes "to fart under the duvet, creep in and see how long I can last only on the fart air contained within" reminded us just how good it was last time.

What are the little things you do for fun when nobody else is around?

She's just a devil woman
I have one guilty pleasure, and I'm going to share it with you. Only one other person in the world, Mrs Smurf, knows this.

I'm an all out metaller. I no longer have the long hair, but instead shave my head (ok, I'm hiding the fact it's gone a bit thin on top). Every t-shirt I own is band t-shirt. I have several tats & piercings. A long leather coat. DM's. Faded blue jeans. I go to gigs regularly.

When people ask who my favourite bands are, I tell them Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica, in that order.

If I were to tell them the truth, I would say Cliff Richard, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica, in that order.

I have every Cliff CD. I have a DVD of Cliff live in concert. My first ever gig was Cliff at Wembley almost 18 years ago at the age of 12.

My favourite songs are "Wired for Sound" and "We don't talk anymore".

We have a Cliff Richard calender in the kitchen (we tell visitors it was a joke present).

Cliff Richard, is my guilty pleasure.

*Edit: And let's not forget Heathcliffe: www.amazon.co.uk/Cliff-Richard-Heathcliff/dp/B00004CV5K

You're sick.
That is all.

To be honest,
I'd class Iron Maiden as a guiltier pleasure than the Sir Cliff.

The one thing in their defence, is that they are not Judas Priest.

There's nothing wrong with either
Maiden or Priest....but Cliff? Guilty as charged you are. (why does that read like Yoda?)

hate everything about the guy, apart for Wired for sound,

I could watch and listen to that song forever.... well perhaps not for ever, but for an extended period of time anyway...

As a metal/rock fan I am very ashamed. Cliff Richard is the devil!

but what about...
... 'Devil Woman'? I too am a die-hard metaller and generally despise Cliff's output but that's a good song.

And Cradle of Filth covered it. Sounded exactly like you'd think it would.

Although let's be honest, most of COF's output is utter arse anyway. If I want decent black metal, I'll listen to Emperor... \m/

Would it help me if I said....
...I don't really like much of his music after the early 90's?

I know i post some weird shit but jesus man. Why? Seriously, I'm actually a little upset.

is pure filth.

Is it the calendar where he's shaving in March and on the cross trainer for April? My colleagues bought me that as a joke a couple of years ago. Except that it really WAS a joke. Absolute filth.

The calender is the one
with Cliff washing his car. Cliff posing at the gates to his mansion. Cliff fishing. :0) It is kinda weird I must admit.

But is this not the best start to a music video ever, Cliff water skiing and then skating out of a heavenly light:

I can't imagine seeing Cliff live again though. I've spent so many years moshing, I'm not really sure how to move to Cliff anymore.
