Just comes across as insufferably smug when doing stand-up. I tried watching one of his gigs, and came to the conclusion that it was shit - much the same as when he insists on doing a 3 minute routine every bloody time he's on Jonathan Ross's show.
However, I do concur that as a guest on panel shows he is usually unfailingly funny and quick off the mark.
Odd, that.
