counting buttons on remote
my mrs has to count the buttons on any tv remote. she can't not do it. continously if she has the remote near her. she knows how many there is on each one. and re-checks them - something i have assured her is not necessary as they DON'T CHANGE

what really foxed her was the all-in-one remote with a touchscreen - no buttons.

i can see the resentment build in her when she realises which remote is closest.....

this is genuinely odd
maybe she's checking that tiny spiders aren't crawling out from the gaps of the buttons

My brother does this...
He can tell you how many buttons all of our tv remotes had going back years.

count five way direction+ok buttons, or rocker volume updown?

I do this too but i keep forgetting the number
I count a volume button with an up and down as two, a one piece d-pad type botton as 4 etc...

i do it to mobiles too - hated the nokia 3410 because of it
