I wish...my parents were helicopter parents. When I started to learn how to walk my dad suggested putting up stair gates. My mum's reply was "Oh no! Let her fall down once and she'll never do it again".

I had a gateoutside my bedroom, I soon learnt how to get around it and then had loads of fun continuously falling down the stairs! 'cos I've done it loads of times! In fact I think it's had a lasting effect.

we didn't get themin my house - until my mum fell down the stairs.
Neither me nor my brother or sister fell down the stairs (as babies anyway)
