I'm dubious about this
because you say tequila tastes sweet

it's vile stuff only good for making cocktails taste nice and sour

I may have drunk a whole bottle of it when I was younger utilising jif lemon in a lemon shaped container and some Saxo table salt...

I was not well.

The other story I'm posting this week
Involves me drinking around a litre of tequila, several scotches and a brandy with fish and chips for lunch.

Still love tequila though although I think the whole salt/lemon thing spoils the taste.

cheap tequila
You can get good & bad tequila. Bad tequila tastes like petrol. Good tequila can be sweet & smooth. Bad tequila is what they serve in pubs in the UK.

I always keep away from the salt & lemon - and it amuses me that people look at me like i'm a lunatic for doing it without. If you don't like it, don't drink it!

Vodka is so nice when it's come straight from a frosted bottle in the freezer. Shame you can't get it like that in pubs and bars.

Pub Tequila is not good. The salt and lemon produce a very strange sensation though - at first it's horrible, then you lick the salt and it becomes worse, then somehow the lemon makes it good...

Too much work for a shot though.
