This is a question IT Support

Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

Works for me.
Especially printers for some reason.
Sometimes.

Works, plural.
Meaning you have had to do it more than once. Meaning that it didn't fix the problem the first time.

no
works, 3rd person singular

As in "the solution"

That would be 'worked', 'will work' or 'is working' if it were singular.
'Works' is plural. "The soluton" may be singular, but "works" suggests that the solution is used multiple times.
