This is a question IT Support

Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

definitely!
I'm much happier helping people who admit to being clueless, than those who know *just enough* to be a danger to themselves and a pain in my arse. Clueless people tend to leave things alone if they're "broken", instead of making it worse!

Although to be fair most of the knowledge I've gained has been down to experimentation and click 'n' hope... the only reason I know how to fix certain problems is because I used to frequently cause them :-)

bog off
i am clueless but would be much happier if the geeks would use normal language instead of jargon to confuse and befuddle us norms...
