Try a sleeping bagOne of my workmates was telling me the other week about (I think) one of his brother's mates who rode a sleeping bag down a frozen gully. Apparently about as much friction as an ice cube on a pub bar. Hit a ridge at the bottom doing about seventy, went airborne, broke his leg when he landed.

we used to do this at parties,but with a twist. As many people possible would assemble themselves in sleeping bags at the top of a carpeted staircase and then simultaneously throw themselves over the top step.
We called it maggot racing and it was hilarious if often extremely painful.
