This is a question Housemates

Catch21 says "I go out of my way to make life hell for my shitty middle-class housemates who go running to the landlord every time I break wind". Weird housemates are the gift that keep on giving - tell us about yours.

Just get in the place and then worry about stuff.
Don't worry about bedding for guests. If they come over then tell them to bring a sleeping bag.

You can get very cheap stuff to start with and then replace them later on when you have more money.

Instead of a wardrobe, get a clothing rail. Cheap and looks ok.

Can any family supply things like a kettle or toaster or some spare crockery they don't use?

You'll be surprised how quickly you end up with a house full of stuff over time.

get a few of those extending pole things (or if you're skint some wood and build up brackets & crossbars) and stick them in the airing cupboard (if you have one). Air your clothes out in there on the poles- making sure to have it properly ventilated to stop it getting damp if you're drying them too- and then iron them, fold them and stick them in a neat pile somewhere in the flat.

If you're too cheap to buy a clothes drier, get those over-door clips and rails. You can hide them if you have people over and it gives you an almost unlimited length along which you can drip-dry your clothes.
