Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

Thatcher left 20 years ago
I feel there has been plenty to complain about since then.
I personally think that to vote in the present day based on something from that long ago is rather pointless and defeats the whole point of having elections every few years.
I'm not very keen on the labour PMs of the 1970's for example, but I accept that this was in the past and I make a reasonable balanceed decision on who to vote for by considering the policies put forward vs the general situation of the present day.
This is how democracy should work, it should not be based on long held grudges.
