Ooh, also- by removing the mining industry she ensured that when the mines are re-openned (after the oil starts to run out and everyone says "Screw this envrionmental crap- I'm using coal till we can get some nukes running") they'll be ruined and utterly unsuitable for humans to work in.
Which is great news for me (working with ROVs all day).

Lets just hope the next gov't who stick to their guns have them pointed at the pricks who screw us over all the time...
