Hypocrisy
Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

Kipling always brings tears to my eyes
Favourite snippet-
When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.

hypocrisy or just sad irony
but I was listening to the news last night and they were going on about the number of British nationals that are yearly joining the war in Afghanistan on the Taliban side - British soldiers are now constantly hearing British voices on the 'enemy' radios - so here we are folks 2009 and British Boys age 16 to 24 are killing and being killed by British boys age 16 to 24 in countries that are very far away... if Kipling were alive he'd have a flowery few words I'm sure . . .
