Soap Operas of The FutureEastEnders are trying to modernise by introducing some hipsters. But what else should they (and other soap operas) do to bring themselves into the modern day and beyond. How would classic scenes of the past play out with modern technology?

well for a starter (OK not really a soap..)Del Boy's fall thru' the bar in OF&H would have been on Vine by the time he was back on his feet.
Also, all these shops & pub gossip scenes in E/E, Corrie and numerous other shows I dont actually watch - all on Facebook. Cue lots of dramatising of people looking surprised at smartphones and netbooks
