This is a question Impulse buys

I'm now the owner of a monster trampoline that's nearly too big for the garden. Tell us your retail disasters and triumphs.

I once went through a period of...
buying hundreds and hundreds of Warhammer 40,000 miniatures off ebay. It has now reached the point were one of my armies has over 400 of the little blighters. That's right. ONE of the armies. I've spent tens of thousands on this 'hobby', I swear it's like crack to me.

More recently, if I've got the money, I'll go to a board game shop and invariably spend £50-£60 on things that look 'shiney' or have cool looking boxes.

Are you me?
Are you sure you're not me?

As my wife put it the other day - when are you going to use that many models?

It's always better to be prepared is what I say!

The post arrived a few days later with 11 new board games snuggly wrapped up...

I had to put up new book cases as penance, but it just means I have to fill them now. When will she learn?

And, like women and shoes,
I haven't even USED some of the games I've got. Caylus and Die Macher remain inviting yet unopened...

There are others?
Thank the lord.

I bought an army. Then I bought another one. I've stopped going on there, even though there's at least two models at the post office to pick up already. I fear I'll buy more...

Although, that new Valkyrie looks good...

Painted or not?
If you've got a tonne of models sitting around, unpainted and unused...along with the other respondents...then perhaps there needs to be some kind of support group going on?
Like the AA, but instead of becoming T-total you end up with many small painted models in large display cases.

The new Valkeryie...
...does indeed look spectacular, I don't even have a Guard army (I already have an Ork one but it'd make a great Fighta-Bomma would it not?). AlsoI am of the opinion that painting the models would detract from their beauty and the modellers original intent. Or at least that's the excuse I'm using this week.
