wonderfulI absolutely love the sound of blackbirds singing and used to really look forward to late summer evenings when I could leave the windows open and go to sleep to the sound of their song. All I get to listen to now are the cackles of kookaburras and the screeches of cockatoos - fascinating birds, but certainly not contenders in any bird song competition.

you could buy a cuddly bird from teh RSPBGoogle 'RSPB birds with real bird calls' and you can get nearly every songbird species in the British Isles :-)
