I hope you live in the statesotherwise a 3 day trip containing 2 8hr flights sounds like hell rather than "me" time!

She does.And from the UK, San Francisco is actually a lot more than 8 hours. I seem to remember it's over 11 hours from Heathrow.
Not the sort of thing you want to do for a weekend trip.
