Meeting people from the internet
Monty Boyce asks: Have you ever had a real-life meet with somebody you first knew from the internet? How did it go? How long until the Asbo expires?

Nice
I too have spent time living with a woman in Tokyo. This was pre-internet, though. Her name was Hideko and she was drop-dead gorgeous. Met her in Okinawa at an office party and actively pursued her. My attentions made her blush, which only encouraged me to be more shameless. I took her out in Okinawa and showed her what the island had to offer. She had been there 10 times as a traveling beauty consultant, but had never gotten out to see anything of the island, only worked and went home. She was stunned and elated at the world I showed her and after four days of bliss, she invited me to stay with her in Tokyo. I was stunned by what such a beautiful woman had to say about life in Tokyo: it was lonely. Everybody lived in their own head and didn't make much effort to interact. Well, if there was one thing I knew how to do, it was interact. We parted company pleasantly and haven't been in touch since. Too bad.
